How do I set up my folders?
Go to the Settings tab and tap "Choose Business Folder" or "Choose Personal Folder." Select any folder in your iCloud Drive. Receipts will be saved there automatically, organized by category.
How do I scan a receipt?
Tap the Scan tab, then tap "Scan Receipt." Choose Camera to photograph a receipt, choose from your Photo Library to import an existing image, or choose Import PDF to bring in a PDF invoice.
Why isn't my receipt syncing to my iPad?
Both devices must be signed into the same iCloud account and have iCloud Drive enabled. Open the Settings tab on your iPad and make sure the same Business and Personal folders are selected.
How do I export receipts for my accountant?
Go to the Export tab. Use the Type, Year, and Category filters to narrow your selection, then tap the share button in the top right to export a CSV spreadsheet.
Can I import PDF invoices?
Yes. Tap "Scan Receipt" on the Scan tab, then choose "Import PDF." ReceiptFolio will extract the text and store the original PDF file in your iCloud folder.
The extracted amount or merchant name is wrong — can I fix it?
Yes. On the Review Receipt screen, all extracted fields are editable. Tap any field to correct it before saving.
Does ReceiptFolio send my data anywhere?
No. All text recognition runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Receipts are saved only to your iCloud Drive. No data is sent to any server.
